Obscure Elation

Problem to Solve: This project uses the Generative Fill and Generative Expand AI features in Photoshop as tools to create posters. The aim was to take normal unassuming images and create something that evoked feelings of unease, with mental health awareness being the driving force behind each concept.

Below each poster is followed by the original image before AI enhancements, composition and editing.

Belong

This poster explores the feeling of not belonging; in a group, a place or even in this world. The color and saturation is used signify how sometimes these feelings can be completely hidden behind a joyful mask.

Beauty

The purpose of this poster was to juxtapose classic beauty with the damaging internal monologue that can mirror hurtful things people are told or the unnatural expectations they see represented in media. Not feeling like you are enough or even feeling that you are too much physically, emotionally or both.
